Children’s Program

Children who witness or experience violence in the home suffer a great deal. Children may have difficulty performing in school, exhibit aggressive behaviors toward peers, or may develop anxiety or depression. Children who have experienced violence do not develop the crucial feelings of safety and security that all children require.

VIBS’ Children’s Program consists of unique and current therapy techniques designed to improve the mental health of children allowing them to grow beyond the violence to which they were exposed. VIBS and its children’s counselors offer a secure and comfortable environment on which children can rely as a source of positivity, understanding and safety.
