Free learning opportunity: How to stop financial exploitation of older adults

This workshop, taught by Gary Brown, Esq., Statewide Elder Abuse Coordinator for New York Attorney General Eric. T. Schneiderman and Raquel Romanick, Staff Attorney, Sadin Institute on Law and Public Policy of the Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging at Hunter College will provide training on identification (signs and symptoms), intervention (where to turn when abuse is suspected) and prevention strategies to reduce the prevalence of elder mistreatment in New York State.

The focus will be on financial exploitation and the need for increasing public awareness and knowledge of its devastating impact and connection with other forms of mistreatement.  All participants will receive a free copy of the Financial Exploitation Desk Guide.
